Durham Region has a lot of great wedding venues, but we’ve compiled a list of our favourites in Oshawa, Whitby, Port Perry, Uxbridge, Ajax, Pickering, Bowmanville, and beyond, so that you can work on the second thing on your list, finding a great photographer!

Oshawa Wedding Venues
Trillium Trails: A beautiful post-and-beam venue on the Oak Ridges Morraine where you can host up to 220 people. You can choose between an indoor or outdoor ceremony. It’s gorgeous for portraits so you spend less time travelling, and more time enjoying your wedding! Bonus: If you want more private couple portraits on your wedding day, the GORGEOUS Purple Woods Conservation Area is a one-minute drive away.
Tosca Banquet Hall: A classic wedding venue with three ballrooms with capacities ranging from 120 guests to 350 guests. Tent weddings are available for up to 180 guests, as well as garden ceremonies for up to 100 guests. Nearby Lakefront Park West and Thickson Woods are perfect for portraits.
Jubilee Pavillion: A unique venue located on the waterfront in Oshawa. Indoor and outdoor options are available, with Lakeview Park as the perfect spot for portraits onsite.
Oshawa Convention Centre: Classic banquet option that can accommodate up to 330 guests. Hotel onsite for ease and convenience, so you can get ready onsite. Short drive to Oshawa Valley Botanical Gardens for portraits.
Parkwood Estate: An absolutely stunning historical site and a hidden gem in the heart of Oshawa. Stunning indoor and outdoor ceremony options. This location’s jaw-dropping gardens and an elegant mansion is available for portraits. This venue can accommodate up to 100 indoors and 150 outdoors.
Oshawa Golf Club: Classic golf course banquet option that can accommodate up to 140 guests. A ceremony in the beautiful outdoor gazebo is available. A bridal suite is provided onsite for getting ready. Stunning landscaping and gardens throughout the property are perfect for onsite portraits.
Bowmanville & Beyond Wedding Venues
Cobourg Inn & Convention Centre: A full-service venue for up to 246 guests with an executive chef that is possibly the only person I’ve ever met who is more passionate about food than we are (hey, Brian!). Seriously, he is a food magician and will make the perfect menu for your event. The space has an onsite hotel, which is great for your guests and getting ready onsite as well as day-after breakfast space for you and your overnight guests to celebrate one more time and do a gift opening if you wish!
Rolling Acres: A super unique country venue with gorgeous outdoor gazebo ceremonies and a covered 900 square foot deck available in case of poor weather. An adorable bridal cottage is available for getting ready, and the grounds are absolutely stunning for portraits. Cool features include two outdoor fireplaces and an onsite waterfall! This venue can accommodate up to 150 guests.
Bloom Field Gardens: A breathtaking garden venue that offers tent weddings in a gorgeous setting. Portraits onsite are sure to be INCREDIBLE!
Black Diamond Golf Club: A classic golf course banquet hall in Pontypool. Incredible staff and expertly prepared meals make this venue a little extra special! Portraits can be done throughout the course and carts are provided to sneak away for private couple photos.
Whitby Wedding Venues
Royal Ashburn: An incredible golf course venue with indoor and outdoor ceremony options that can accommodate up to 240 guests. The grounds are immaculate and perfect for portraits onsite. Super cool bonus: this venue has five guest cottages that can allow out-of-town guests to stay onsite or be used for the bride and groom to get ready.
12elve Bistro: An incredibly cool exposed brick venue above Brock Street Brewery. Cherie and her staff are next level, and it’s the perfect trendy location for your big day! Nearby parks and forests can be used for portraits.
Ajax & Pickering Wedding Venues
Ajax Convention Centre: A classic and beautiful banquet hall that can accommodate up to 600+ guests! Beautiful interiors and incredible menus make this venue stand out in Durham Region! A very quick drive to Lynde Shores Conservation Area for portraits.
Deer Creek Golf Course: A classic golf course venue with the option of indoor or outdoor ceremonies. This venue can accommodate up to 550 guests with a variety of banquet rooms to fit your day perfectly. Their immaculate grounds are the perfect backdrop for onsite portraits.
The Lake House: Located on the quaint and super cute Port of Pickering, this venue offers indoor or outdoor ceremonies. They also can accommodate beachfront ceremonies! In Ontario!! This whole area is perfect for portraits and photos onsite, and the venue offers a bridal suite so you don’t have to travel as much on your big day.
The Carver’s Cottage: An adorable and unique little venue for ceremonies and portraits only. A bridal cabin is included for getting ready. Ceremonies are held in the gorgeous outdoor covered chapel for up to 110 people. Perfect for elopements or if you want an outdoor ceremony before heading to your reception venue. Bonus: They have a SUPER cool little lake/pond with a dock where you can get portraits in a little row boat.
Pickering Event Centre: The newest banquet hall in Durham Region. This is not your traditional banquet hall. This super cool, modern, and contemporary banquet hall can hold up to 200 guests. A bridal suite is included onsite for use too!
Herongate Barn Theatre: This century-old barn and theatre is a super unique setting for your country wedding. Tent weddings are available and the 10-acre grounds are spectacular for photos. A must-see!
Whitevale Golf Club: A classic golf course venue that can accommodate up to 120 guests in the banquet hall. Outdoor ceremonies are available, and the stunning grounds are the perfect spot for all your portraits.
Port Perry & Uxbridge Wedding Venues
Gray Silo Lavender Farm: If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve definitely heard me gush about this incredible barn wedding venue. If you get married in June and July, you have access to their ridiculously beautiful lavender farm for your guests and your portraits. The owners are some of the best people we know, and take such good care of all their couples. If you’re having a small wedding, you found your place. This venue can accommodate up to 50 guests. Indoor and outdoor ceremonies are available.
Mill Run Golf Club: A classic golf course venue that can hold up to 250 guests. Outdoor ceremonies are available on their gorgeous grounds, which are also great for portraits!
Wooden Sticks: A spectacular golf course venue that can accommodate up to 160 guests. A bridal suite is available for use, which will save travel time on your big day. This venue boasts a really cute onsite ceremony garden.
