gray silo lavender Farm Family photos, Durham Region

So when Heather reached out to me and said, “We’d like to do a lavender family photo session, but with all the girls in tutus,” I nearly died of excitement!!! Then when she clarified that the adults would also be in tutus… the BEST!!!!!!! Full disclosure, I’m a little biased because these are my cousins and their kids, but man do they make cute ones. We had perfect weather for the shoot and the kids were amazing troopers and told me they had fun, so win-win-win!

Growing up, I spent 90% of my time with my incredible cousins. It felt like we were always together and just went from them being at our house to us being at their house or cottage and it was amazing. So many of my favourite childhood memories are with the “Original Six” as we call ourselves, (plus Matthew… sorry, Matt!!!). So to be able to spend the afternoon with the next generation of cousins doing their family photos, all girls and one boy just like we were, all growing up so close, it was amazing and totally took me back to some of my amazing childhood memories.

As usual, Dave and Michelle at Gray Silo Lavender Farm were super accommodating and the farm was as stunning as ever. Oliver, the boy in the photos, was immediately drawn to the small John Deere tractor when he arrived and when Dave found out, he was gracious enough to bring over the BIG green tractor for Oliver to see. Oliver was on the far side of the lavender field and I swear I’ve never seen legs so little move so fast!!! So, thanks again, Dave. You guys are the best!

If you live in Durham Region, Port Perry, Oshawa, Uxbridge, or anywhere in the GTA really, do yourself a favour and check out Gray Silo before the end of the blooms. You still have a bit of time! It is not to be missed! If you want photos while you’re there, send me a note in my contact form or DM me on Instagram @tkmphotographytoronto.
