Now I have to say, I am a little biased with this wedding.  I’ve known (and loved) Caleb’s family almost my entire life.  I’ve watched Caleb grow up since he was a baby into a truly incredible man. When we met MC at their engagement session, we were THRILLED at how absolutely perfect they are together. Our little “brother” had found the one and she was awesome!!

Finally, it was August 7th, and what a DAY!  Caleb and MC’s wedding was absolutely spectacular.  I loved how MC said in her speech that COVID planning had them with a plan A, B, C, and D, and they were able to have their plan A day!

We started the day at the Holiday Inn in Oshawa for the girls’ getting ready photos.  Incredible people tend to attract other incredible people and I was blessed to spend the morning with MC and her lovely bridesmaids. They were just as sweet, funny, and kind as MC and it was honestly such a delight to spend the morning with them. Our girl, Nicola, from NL Artistry, was on site when I arrived doing the mother of the groom, a bridesmaid, and the flower girl’s makeup and it turned out stunning (and survived the later rain, tears of joy, and dancing of the day!).

We then headed to the groom’s parent’s home for the wedding. Thanks to Perfect Party Place, the ceremony tent was just perfect (they also provided the reception tent and decor… INSANELY beautiful)! MC’s brothers built the most gorgeous ceremony arch adorned with some of the most stunning florals I’ve ever seen from Flowers by Veronika. She also created the most beautiful bouquets and boutonnieres and all the florals really tied the whole theme together.

Mike, Caleb’s dad, did an incredible wedding ceremony and a close family friend and officiant made it all official!  We enjoyed a first dance, mother-son dance, and daughter-father dance, broadcast on Zoom for those who tied into the ceremony virtually.  After a short speech from the bride and groom, the in-person guests enjoyed a socially distanced reception line to congratulate the bride and groom and their families.

Minutes after the reception line dispersed we were hit with a crazy rainstorm!  The reception guests headed to the reception tent in the field behind the family home and we tried to wait out the rain with the bridal party and immediate family for photos.  Unfortunately, the weather had other plans, but we got some incredible photos with the reprieves from the rain we did get and all was well!!

Dinner was provided by a close friend and could-be master chef (I swear it felt like we were at a 5-star restaurant!!), Carol, and everyone danced the night away.

Check out the sneak peek of their photos below.  I won’t pretend there weren’t a few tears putting this together. We love you, Caleb and MC!
